Careers

Build the next great aircraft company.

We are a small team of engineers, builders, and pilots designing, manufacturing, testing, and flying complete aircraft from the airframe up.

/ 01 · Where you'd fit

The disciplines we're building.

We hire across the full stack of an autonomous aircraft. If your discipline is here and you don't see an exact role, apply anyway.

01

Aircraft design

Configuration, aerodynamics, structures, and vehicle systems.

02

Autonomy & software

Mission autonomy, flight software, and operator interfaces.

03

Flight controls

Control laws, GNC, and envelope-protection design.

04

Avionics & compute

Onboard compute, sensing, avionics, and integration.

05

Propulsion

Propulsion integration, performance, and installation.

06

Manufacturing

Fabrication, tooling, assembly, and production engineering.

07

Test & verification

Bench, ground, and flight test; instrumentation and analysis.

08

Programs & operations

Program management, supply chain, and business operations.

/ 02 · The people we want

Show us what you can do.

Credentials can open the door. What matters more is what you have built, how you solve hard problems, and how fast you learn.

Builders, not commentators

Do not just point at the problem. Make the drawing, part, code, test, deal, or working system.

Speed of learning, not credentials

A degree or company name can help. Your ability to learn fast and produce useful work matters more.

Demonstrated obsession

Show us something hard you cared enough to finish. It could be an aircraft, engine, race car, company, or code.

High agency

When the path is blocked, find the person, tool, supplier, test, or new approach that gets the work moving.

Hands-on leadership

Managers do the work. Every leader must understand the details, make sound decisions, and contribute directly.

Common sense and trust

Tell the truth about the work. Surface problems early. Good judgment matters as much as technical skill.

/ 03 · How we work

Our operating tenets.

Software at the core

Modern aircraft are software-defined. Autonomy, avionics, and updates matter as much as the airframe and propulsion.

Run it hotter. Run it faster.

Design it. Build it. Push it. Break it. Fix it. Repeat. Each test teaches us what to do next.

Mission first

Choose the work that moves the aircraft and the company forward. Titles and team lines come second.

Build what is missing

If we need a tool, process, supplier, test, or system that does not exist, we build it.

Failure is payload

Surface failure fast. Learn from it, fix it, and run the test again. Hiding failure is never acceptable.

Complete the work

Give the next person a complete, usable result. Half-finished work becomes delay, rework, and risk.

/ 04 · Open roles

Who we're hiring.

Roles are on-site at the Sorian compound. Don't see your discipline? Submit a general application and tell us where you'd fit.

/ 05 · ITAR / EAR

Export-control eligibility.

Sorian works on export-controlled aircraft and autonomy programs. Many roles require the ability to access technical data subject to U.S. export-control regulations (ITAR / EAR).

Most positions require U.S. person status (U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident, or protected individual) under applicable export-control law. Requirements vary by role and are confirmed during the hiring process. Sorian is an equal-opportunity employer.
