Role
Sorian Aerospace is building autonomous supersonic aircraft for advanced training and test. Sandman is an unmanned supersonic trainer. Unforgiven is a fighter-class advanced trainer designed for piloted and unmanned operation. Both aircraft share a common foundation across autonomy, avionics, flight controls, and aircraft systems.
As a Manufacturing & Machining Engineer, your job is to build precision aircraft hardware quickly, accurately, and repeatably. You’ll machine parts, fabricate tooling and fixtures, inspect finished work, and collaborate with engineering to bridge the gap between CAD and working hardware.
This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in the shop and takes pride in building clean, functional, aerospace-grade systems.

- Fabricate tooling, fixtures, and custom assemblies using both manual and automated techniques
- Interpret complex drawings, 3D models, and GD&T to machine parts to spec
- Support assembly, fit checks, inspection, rework, and hardware integration
- Work with engineers to improve designs for manufacturability and ease of assembly
- Maintain traceability and high standards of fit, finish, and repeatability
- Support integration and test efforts by rapidly building or reworking parts as needed
Requirements
- 3–8 years of hands-on experience in aerospace machining, prototyping, or fabrication
- Proficiency with CNC programming (CAM), manual machining, and machine setup
- Strong understanding of precision tolerancing, GD&T, and inspection tools
